About Fary Moini:

Born and educated as a registered nurse in Iran, Moini has been a member of the Rotary Club of La Jolla Golden Triangle in San Diego since 1999. Her compassion for helping others and her dedication to world peace and understanding drove her to serve Afghan refugees in a personal and meaningful way. Moini recently returned from Pakistan, where she served as a Rotary Volunteer supported by a grant from The Rotary Foundation of RI. Moini spent two months helping families in refugee camps near Peshawar, Pakistan. Led by Moini, who speaks Farsi, a language similar to the one spoken by many refugees, members of the La Jolla Golden Triangle club raised about US$100,000 to build a school on the outskirts of Jalalabad. Most of the students who attend the new school recently returned from refugee camps in Pakistan.
